Riddle me this.

My coworker and I have just discovered the Great Divide. We agree on so many things: design details, hatred for cilantro, love for the color pur-pur (i.e. purple - don't ask). But yesterday afternoon, he got up and went to the bathroom, saying he had just enough time to brush his teeth before he had to go to the dentist. I said, "Boy, you cuh-ray-zay!" and made it really awkward for both of us. But the way I see it, if you're going to the dentist for a teeth cleaning, why do it ahead of time for them? The dentist usually doesn't come in until after, so s/he's not going to witness the shame of my poppy seed bagel breakfast and corn on the cob lunch. It's just the hygienist, who I can almost 100% guarantee has seen far worse than the little bit of spinach left between my (cavity-free) teeth.

What do y'all think? Am I horribly inconsiderate, or is going overboard? Yes, I am asking you to take sides. COMMIT.

  1. I totally agree with you. I never brush my teeth right before unless I know I have gross junk stuck in there. Like chunks of pork.

  2. I agree with the boy! Always brush my teeth before the dentist. Almost obsessively.
