A Fair and Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance

bumbys

We stopped by the Fashion Week tents at Lincoln Center the other day and it was so fun! Got a free mascara, some mousse (hair, not chocolate, unfortunately), some yogurt and some coffee. And we got appraised by the Bumbys, a pair of performance artists that set up a little desk with two electric typewriters advertising "A Fair and Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance." They were wearing masks and glasses so we couldn't see who they are, and people lined up so they could look at us one by one and then type on the index cards. We all thought they'd be really mean but actually they wrote really nice, inspirational things! Also dead on with the hair growing out, the necklace and the whole half Asian comparison thing.
